TERRACE CLUBHOUSE

Candlewood Terrace is an existing 305 unit apartment complex developed in the
early 1970's, primarily serving the needs of Miami University students. As part
of a larger modernization effort, the existing rental office was renovated to
better serve the office functions and to act as a new clubhouse for the
residents. Beckwith Chapman Associates’ landscape design focused on providing
new outdoor social spaces with the construction of a new pool and patio area,
pergola, and roof deck. The scheme also dealt with continuing water problems on
the site with an environmentally responsible solution, diverting storm water
run-off to a wild-flower swale and recharge bed.
