FIELD MASTER PLAN
Miami University, Oxford, OH
Over time the existing McKie Baseball Field at Miami University had become
hidden and detached from campus by surrounding development. This rehabilitation
project reestablishes McKie Field as a first class college athletic facility
and ties it into the campus architecture and campus planning framework. The
landscape master plan by Beckwith Chapman Associates rotates the field for
improved orientation, relocates a service road, consolidates fragmented parking
areas and, most importantly, creates ‘a place’ for the field within the campus
context.
